One of the first scrap metal businesses in town till mid 1990. The town now has a handful of metal buyers.
Known as Delta Recycling the private recycling company was called Delta Recycling Delta Ohio and had many piles of different metals from brass, copper, aluminum, steel, cast iron, stainless, lead.
They would buy and recycle all types of metals including whole cars which would be cut up and separated into piles of scrap.
Delta Recycling of Delta Ohio also had routes that consisted of cleaning out hauling away scrap from customers like body shops, welding and machine shops, small businesses always have junk metals around that needed hauled away. Our drivers would make the rounds keeping customers clean for example say you sell appliances or repair appliance you probably have many in the back of your shop that would need hauled. Delta Recycling Delta Ohio charged a fee for each appliance.
